Audi posted a 10-percent jump in vehicle sales in July 2014 to 144,000 units, as well as an 11-percent leap in sales in the first seven months of the year. Audi sales chief Luca de Meo remarked in a statement that the German luxury carmaker is in a "very good position" to top 1.6 million in car deliveries this year after managing to post record sales in the first seven months of 2014.

Audi posted a 16-percent jump in sales in Asia-Pacific in July, to 56,250. It also sold 16 percent more vehicles in China in the month to 48,279 units. Audi saw its sales in the United States gain 12 percent to 14,616.

The luxury carmaker also saw a 5-percent jump in sales in its home market Europe to 63,950. Audi particularly went strong in the United Kingdom in July, seeing sales jump 11 percent to 12,852 vehicles.

Sales in home turf Germany just leaped 2 percent to 22,303 units. According to Audi, the A6 played a vital part in its growth in the month. Audi sold 14 percent more A6 globally in July 2014 to 26,500 units. Gaining the largest was the A3, which deliveries grew 52 percent in the month to around 25,450 cars.

The business class winner just got better - Audi has completely modernised the A6 range. All-new engines, transmissions, and headlamps, as well as an all-new infotainment system make the Sedan and Avant more effective, powerful, attractive, and sophisticated than before. The adaptable A6 all-road quattro and the S6, S6 Avant, and RS6 sport also come with a complete set of new features.

With the all-new A6, Audi is writing the next act in an extremely successful story. It stands for ground-breaking technology and the brand's premium statement. The A6 establishes new benchmarks in a range of technical areas: the light body has many aluminium elements, the forceful and highly effective engines, the sports chassis, and the innovative systems for assistance and multimedia.

With crisp outlines, accented laterals, sportily tight surfaces, the A6 design typifies preciseness and athletic grace. It was delicately prepared as part of refreshing the model, with alterations to the single-frame grille, headlamps, air intakes, bumpers, side sills, rear lamps, and exhaust pipes. Audi offers optional headlights using LED or Matrix LED technologies, along with dynamic turn indicators.

Due to its clever composite build strategies, the body is very sturdy and safe. Many elements made from aluminium and hot-shaped steel create the foundation for a systemic light construction strategy. The all-new A6 1.8 TFSI has a standing weight (with no driver) of only 1,535 kg (3,384.1 lbs). Ride comfort is outstanding; cabin noise is very low.
