If you read E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” you definitely know that the main character, Christian Grey, loves Audi vehicles. This means that the partnership between Audi and Universal Pictures will not surprise you as it would be one of the best chance for the German manufacturer to show off his top models in a movie that promises to show new records when it comes to the number of people who will see it.

The models included in the movie will include the Audi R8 V10 Spyder, the Audi S8, Audi S7 Sportback, the Audi Q7 TDI and the new Audi A3.

If you still don’t know, we will tell you that the R8 V10 Spyder is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that can push it from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, while offering a top speed of up to 195 mph, while the Audi S8 uses a 4.0-liter TFSI V8 that is able to push it from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.

Meanwhile, the S7 Sportback uses the same 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine that helps it accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds. The Audi Q7 TDI comes with a 3.0-liter TDI engine, while the smaller A3 will be featured with a 1.8-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine.

“We are happy to continue our strong partnership with the film industry with this highly-anticipated project, especially after already being part of the bestselling novel,” said Giovanni Perosino, Head of Marketing Communication at AUDI AG.

“It was a natural fit for Audi to be a part of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ as it’s brought to life in theaters,” added Loren Angelo, Director of Marketing for Audi of America. “Audi is a brand that symbolizes performance, technology and modern design. The natural inclusion of our hottest models in this series illustrates how Audi has become truly synonymous with sophisticated luxury.” [source: Audi]
