The BMW Group posted a 7.6-percent jump in global sales in November 2014 to 188,342 BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles. That surge allowed the group to log a 7.1-percent gain in global sales for the first 11 months of the year to 1,902,699 units.
According to Ian Robertson, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Sales and Marketing at BMW, that November continues the sales growth that group has seen throughout 2014.
He remarked that with strong results, the group is confident of selling over two million vehicles by the end of the year, which is a new record for the BMW Group. BMW brand saw its November sales jump 6.2 percent to 158,953 vehicles, which is a new record for the month.
The brand logged a higher growth for the year so far, gaining 9 percent to a record 1,633,722 vehicles. The brand delivered 6,918 units of its 2 Series Active Tourer in just first two full months of sales. BMW also sold 104,910 BMW 4 Series models and 16,204 BMW X4 units so far this year.
The brand also logged a 2.8-percent jump in sales of its BMW 3 Series in the year so far to 432,064 units and a 2.5-percent surge in deliveries of the BMW 5 Series to 340,423 vehicles.
Soaring high for BMW in the first 11 months of 2014 is the BMW X5, which grew 34.7 percent to 131,425. For the BMW i-sub brand, deliveries reached nearly 15,000 so far this year. [source: BMW]
