BMW Individual unveils M6 Gran Coupe Frozen Red

Article by Christian A., on April 25, 2014

BMW Individual has just unveiled its latest creation, an M6 Gran Coupe finished in a brilliant Frozen Red metallic. The new vehicle also comes with plenty of exterior details such as the BMW Individual Manufaktur signet in the Hofmeister kink and the hood handle detailing in dark chrome. The exterior design is completed by the 20-inch wheels as well as by the carbon fiber roof.

Inside, we find full fine-grain Merino leather in Opal White highlighted by the Sakhir Orange stitching and the interior trims in Piano finish Black and Frozen Red accents. Furthermore, the door sill finisher shows the BMW Individual Manufaktur signet, while the floor mat shows the same badge in Opal White.

In order to make the vehicle even more exclusive, the front seat headrests carry the embossed logo BMW Individual Manufaktur. Meanwhile, the cupholder trim in Piano finish shows the same logo. Under the hood we find the same 4.4-liter V8 with TwinPower Turbo technology that generates 560 hp and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque.

As a result, the M6 Gran Coupe zooms from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h or 155 mph. Still, for those who want more, BMW offers the optional M Driver’s Package, which offers a top speed of 305 km/h or 189 mph.

The engine is bolted to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, which offers Launch Control Function as well as Low Speed Assistance and Auto Start-Stop function. Power is delivered to the road via the rear wheels.
