BMW owners in the U.S. may soon take advantage of an on-demand streaming music service as the automaker has entered an agreement with MOG. Models that have the BMW Apps smartphone app integration option may request to get this service. These two firms will show off the beta version of the app during the press launch of the new 6-Series Coupe in North America.
What the BMW car owner gets when they opt to get this service are unlimited on-demand streaming and being able to listen to any artist, album, or song at any time from just about anywhere. Most of all, there are no ads.
They can use the current BMW iDrive controller and steering wheel controls to browse, search, play, or skip songs. Paul Ferraiolo, Manager of Product Planning and Strategy for BMW of North America, said that partnering with MOG represents “another great step for BMW Apps,” as the automaker continues to pay attention to customers and to evaluate, develop and launch the apps they want quickly.
He added that the development of BMW Apps means that features can be applied on a car in the shortest time possible. He asserts that more apps will follow. Meanwhile, MOG CEO David Hyman revealed how “thrilled” the company was to partner with BMW to introduce a “premium automotive integration of an on-demand music service.”
Hyman said that the company is focused on providing more ways for people to enjoy music at whatever place they’ve gone to. He added that for BMW USA customers, a MOG user experience is being jointly designed for drivers to be able to listen to “unlimited, uninterrupted music” but still focus on driving.
At last, BMW USA consumers can finally listen to MOG app music streaming inside their cars. After downloading, users can connect their iPhones through the USB port and wait for the built-in navigation system to run the app. It will only take a few seconds as soon as the app option is enabled.
