Tomorrow, the 2014 Moscow Motor Show will open its doors but the new vehicles that will make their debut in Russia’s capital are already starting to show up on the Web. The Chevrolet Niva Concept will make its debut tomorrow but the vehicle was already unveiled today.
According to the official info, the Niva Concept was designed by Ondrej Koromhaz, the man behind the Aveo RS Concept that was unveiled back in 2010 at the Detroit Auto Show.
Although we don’t believe that the production version will look like this, we admit that Koromhaz’s design is pretty impressive. As you can see from the photos, the Niva Concept is ready to take you almost anywhere and comes equipped with a winch, an exhaust snorkel as well as with a roof rack where a second spare tire is stored.
Moreover, the concept car features a new suspension system and a generous ground clearance but also 29-inch tires. Under the hood, there is a 1.8-liter petrol engine that produces 135 hp and 170 Nm, built by PSA Peugeot-Citroen for emerging markets. The engine is bolted to a five-speed transmission.
