Chrysler announces national campaign that will bring its 2011 models to malls

Article by Christian A., on April 7, 2011

Chrysler’s 2011 lineup will be brought to malls throughout the United States as part of a national campaign to entice more potential buyers to do test drives. The Chrysler 200 sedan and convertible, the 300 sedan and the Town & Country minivan will visit 10 malls from April to July.

All these models were redesigned for the 2011 model year. Chrysler will have product specialists in the booths to respond to inquiries.

Those who participate will get $15 mall gift cards and may even get the chance to be seen in a Chrysler ad. Local dealers are not in charge of the test drives but they’re encouraged to go to the sites to distribute information and bring advertising.

The test-drive program is scheduled to go to malls in California, Texas, Missouri, Massachusetts, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, Indiana, Florida and Washington, D.C. Chrysler clarified though that additional cities and their dates will be announced later.

In a statement, Olivier Francois, CEO of the Chrysler brand, said that it hopes that consumers will be able to “touch and feel” the materials in the interior and to also experience the ride and handling improvements.

He said further that Chrysler recognizes the busy schedules that consumers have and so the company is implementing this program to expedite the process of hunting for a vehicle and to make the process “hands-on to consumers."
