Chrysler Canada logs 47th straight month of year-over-year sales gain

Chrysler Canada has posted its 47th straight month of year-over-year sales gain -- the longest sales streak in its history. Chrysler Canada posted 4-percent surge in sales in October 2013 to 18,131 units, compared with 17,504 vehicles in the same month in 2012. Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer of Chrysler Canada, remarked that 30 years ago, they launched the Chrysler and Dodge minivans in North America and has since managed to maintain segment leadership.

Buckingham said that Chrysler Group has steadily introduced new and award-winning products to market in recent years.  He noted that their products' improved fuel efficiency, great value and options have allowed them to achieve an uninterrupted streak of sales growth over the past 47 months. The 2014 Ram EcoDiesel recently dominated the 2014 Canadian Truck King Challenge, trouncing major truck rivals in a series of head-to-head tests.

Ram trucks won every one of the light- and heavy-duty categories.  Ram 1500 with V6 Pentastar took the under $45,000 light-duty category while the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and 5.7L HEMI logged a 1-2 finish in the over $45,000 light-duty category.

On the other hand, the Ram 2500 HD with Cummins Turbo Diesel power stomped the 3/4-ton class. Chrysler Canada has sold 67,727 trucks so far this year, representing an annual record set in only 10 months.
