Citroen introduces DS3 Pink special edition range for 2014

Article by Anita Panait, on January 7, 2014

Citroen has introduced a new range of DS3 special editions for the start of the New Year – the DS3 Pink. Only sold in the United Kingdom, DS3 Pink models can be availed starting January 2014, with prices starting from £15,675. All DS3 Pink models boast of a fuchsia pink roof, door mirrors and wheel center caps.

This theme can also be seen in the interior, complemented by a fuchsia dashboard and a color-coded gear lever knob. All DS3 Pink versions can be availed with Polar White or Perla Nera Black body colors. They also feature additional specification above the existing DStyle and DSport equipment levels. Owners can choose from four engines and from two trim levels.

The DS3 DStyle Pink features 16-inch ‘Ashera’ Black or White alloy wheels that match the selected body color. It also features a HiFi System upgrade with additional speakers. DS3 DStyle Pink could be availed with either a VTi 120 petrol engine or an e-HDi 90 Airdream diesel that emits just 95g/km of carbon dioxide.

The DSport Pink, meanwhile, features 17-inch ‘Bellone’ Black or White alloy wheels and boasts of a ‘City Signature’ pack, which includes automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest. DS3 DSport Pink is powered either by a THP 155 petrol or an e-HDi 115 Airdream diesel engine, both paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

The new Citroen DS3 boasts of a cockpit-inspired driving position that also allows the driver to easily access a sports-styled instrument cluster featuring three conical dials. The new DS3 also features low-slung, body-hugging seats as well as a small-diameter steering wheel. Thanks to a turning circle of around 10.3 meters, the DS3 offers a nimble driving experience and the ability to maneuver in cramped urban environments.

To deliver remarkable levels of ride comfort as well as responsive road-handling, the new Citroen DS3 built on the carmaker’s extensive experience in creating smooth running gears. Drivers can easily notice the vehicle’s superb body roll control as well as responsive cornering.

New Citroen DS3 can be availed with the carmaker’s latest in-car technology. Citroen’s integrated MyWay satellite navigation unit already includes a wide format color screen, an audio and multimedia system, Bluetooth hands-free kit as well as an MP3 and WMA compatible CD player. The car’s audio system features a third speaker in the middle of the upper dashboard and an amplified subwoofer in the boot.
