Article by Christian A., on January 3, 2012

Citroën has launched the C3 Picasso Code, a stylish new special edition in its C3 Picasso range. This model replaces the Blackcherry special edition and is based on the HDi 90 manual VTR+ version with additional equipment. It is available in four body colors -- Cherry Red, Polar White, Thorium Grey and Belle Ile Blue. It is now "on sale" priced from £15,695, only £300 more than the HDi 90 manual VTR+ variant.

The Polar White wheels come with the Cherry Red and Belle Ile Blue body colors as well as a white rear number plate surround with chrome detailing and Polar White painted side rubbing strips.

The Cherry Red alloy wheels come with the Thorium Grey and Polar White body colors, and with Cherry Red painted side rubbing strips and a Cherry Red number plate surround with a chrome insert. The C3 Picasso Code's efficient and refined diesel HDi 90 powerplant offers an impressive 61.4mpg on the combined cycle. With its sub-120g/km CO2 emissions, it is eligible for free VED in the first year.

C3 Picasso Code gains a ‘Look Pack’ that features: Polar White or Cherry Red 17” ‘Clover’ alloy wheels (depending on body colour), Chrome lower bumper inserts, Shiny black painted door handles with chrome inserts Obsidian Black painted front & rear bumpers, Obsidian Black door mirrors with shiny black surround & base plate Longitudinal roof bars, Shiny black vent surrounds Carpet mats.

Citroen unveiled the new C3 Picasso mini MPV at the Paris Motor Show before launching it officially in the United Kingdom in 2009. Strong yet comfortable, this newest member of the Picasso family – after the Xsara Picasso and C4 Picasso -- boasts of being compact while still offering a spacious cabin as well as being stylish yet practical.

Moreover, the new C3 Picasso – with its square shapes and flowing curves as well as contemporary and retro design – will try to charm the driving public with quality and affordability while providing the right performance and satisfactory economy.

The interior of the new Citroen C3 Picasso offers a best-in-class space marked by clever design and modular seat layout as well as intuitive storage solutions. It is powered by engines co-developed with BMW and laden with superior content and technology that ensures comfort and safety.

New C3 Picasso marks another implementation of a new direction in body design that combines roominess and the versatility of an MPV with the quality, agility and comfort of an SUV – resulting to a vehicle that challenges the current notions of the compact MPV segment.
