Dacia introduces the Duster Adventure1 Limited Edition

Article by Christian A., on March 12, 2013

The Dacia Duster Aventure1 limited edition offers fun and practicality on top of being attractive and stable. It features a unique combination of amazing outdoors features, which include roof bar-mounted spot lamps3, front and rear skidplates, black masks for rear lamp units, red arrows marking tow ring and jack locations, and side protection with Duster markings.

The Dacia Duster Aventure1 has special decals to reveal its adventurous theme, reminiscent of the motor sport events where the Duster has demonstrated its brilliance. The Duster Aventure1 limited edition is based on the Ambiance version.

Buyers can choose from either Glacier White or Pearl Black. Its additional finishing accents include a special radiator grille with gloss black surround, wing mirror covers, a set of 16” wheels, and tinted windows to protect the driver and passengers against UV, breakage, glare and heat.

It has a roomy and comfortable interior that’s improved further with unique upholstery that features white overstitching, the compass motif and the Duster signature. It comes with a glossy black centre console that’s similar to its exterior design.

On the other hand, the air vent surrounds, steering wheel ring and door handles are in contrasting white. The Duster Aventure1 limited edition SUV is offered in a 4x4 as well as a 4x2 version, to achieve maximum go-anywhere capability.

On the dashboard, it has a Garmin satnav system that’s semi-integrated. It has an onboard GPS unit that has an impressive waterproof design. It uses a 45-country Europe map system with free lifetime updates, aside from a topographic map, perfect if you want to get off the beaten track.

The new limited edition model signifies the start of phase two of the partnership with Garmin that debuted in 2012. This follows the Garmin limited edition launched at the Paris Motor Show.

The success of the Dacia Duster has been mainly due to the styling features. While the improved New Dacia Duster does utilize this, it also reveals more definite design cues from the 4x4 models. Putting focus on the SUV quality of this model are the New Duster-labeled roof bars that have the slatted supports. By having the alloy “Dark Metal” 16-inch wheels with the “Mud and Snow” tires fitted to them, it brings a new appeal to this model’s profile.

Looking at the front section, there is no doubt it has been enhanced. The grille has a new design and is decorated with a pair of chrome-plated strip. Further, the grille houses the vehicle’s double-optic headlights that include the daytime running lights. It is also where the lower-set air intake has been positioned. All of the various improvements have resulted in highlighting the “go-anywhere” and robust quality of this model and even its on-road stance.

David Durand, who is the Entry range’s Head of Styling, revealed that in creating the New Dacia Duster, the company made use of both the proportions and appeal that were present in the original version. In addition, he added, the company made the 4x4 cues of this model stronger but it still made sure that all of the useful features are maintained. Because of this, Durand continued, the New Dacia Duster has the initial design language while having that stronger quality.
