Heads up, Gran Turismo fans! The SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo, which is the latest concept car from FCA US LLC, has made its debut. This single-seat concept takes inspiration from current and potential technologies to stretch the bounds of performance.
This summer, players of Gran Turismo 6 (GT6™) can get on the virtual track and select the V-10, 2,590 combined horsepower SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo X that’s being exclusively launched in GT6 for the PlayStation®3 console.
The most recent car to arrive from the Vision Gran Turismo project, the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo was created via an internal design contest that looked for a futuristic (2035) high-performance Dodge.
Starting in the summer of 2015, players will be able to access the three powerful versions of the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo by completing the GT6 challenges. They will then discover the entry level SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo S and the racing version GTS-R, as well as the experimental technology ultimate version X concept vehicles in the SRT garage of this game.
Ralph Gilles, Head of Design, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V., said, “It doesn’t take much to bring out the competitive spirit of the FCA US design team.” He also that with numerous Gran Turismo fans in their team, they all aim for the same goal of winning the race as they were developing the SRT Tomahawk Vision Gran Turismo.
He shared that the GT6 assignment wasn’t given to just one person or a studio simply because of how popular the video game was among its members. Everyone can submit a sketch, whether they were interns or experienced designers. A ton of proposals was received as designers gleefully made sketches after hours, in the weekends, or whenever they had spare time.
