Ford debuts new Graphite and Titanium X Business Edition models

Ford will soon launch upgraded variants of its much-admired Mondeo executive car range as well as a new series targeted at both private and business customers. With a starting price of £15,995, the new Ford Mondeo Graphite gives retail customers an amazing mixture of exterior appeal and outstanding interior features.

After the achievements set by the Ford Mondeo Zetec Business Edition, the new Titanium X Business Edition provides even more sophisticated standards of technology and interior luxury, which have contributed to securing residual values five percentage points higher than the Mondeo Titanium X that’s on its way out even as it’s priced £1,500 cheaper than the new model.

Ford Mondeo models are powered by the remarkable 2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, which is offered throughout all series except Titanium X Sport, have CO2 emissions of only 119g/km across both 140PS and 163PS power outputs (a drop of up to 10g/km). The 163PS version provides more impressive power than Mondeo’s rivals. Its fuel efficiency has also been given a boost from 57.6mpg to 61.4mpg.

Mark Ovenden, Ford Britain managing director, said that this upgrade gives additional features to Ford Mondeo at a price that’s more competitive. All of these benefits make Mondeo a success.

It’s believed that these improvements in its range will make it even more attractive to UK families. Ford modified the calibration of the Mondeo’s 2.0-litre Duratorq diesel engine and optimised aerodynamics to attain its targeted CO2 emissions level of 119g/km from the five-door version and 120g/km from the estate. The lower CO2 levels are eligible for the annual road tax (VED) of £30, a drop from £105.

The latest iteration of the Ford Mondeo builds on its reputation as a vehicle that isn’t just stylish and versatile, but is also a great to drive vehicle. In addition, the Mondeo is designed to offer a whole new level of driving enjoyment and ride comfort.

To achieve this, Ford gave each of the three body styles of Mondeo styles -- four-door, five-door and wagon – a fresh new look. In fact, Ford made sure that the kinetic design signature of each body styles is fully emphasized while employing new innovations like LED technology.

The front end of the new Mondeo comes with bolder graphics and more pronounced proportions as defined by its slimmer upper grilles and larger lower trapezoidal and. This is further defined by a revised bonnet profile as well as by integral new day running lights employing LED units.

On the sides, the sleek lines of the new Mondeo – on higher series models -- are highlighted by a new, full chrome window surround for the higher series models. The rear end of the new Mondeo, meanwhile, is defined by larger, redesigned rear lamps employing LED units. Just as designed, the revised exterior design of new Ford Mondeo indicates its athletic dynamics and performance while complementing its improved quality and premium feel.

Inside, Ford inclusively revised the interior of the new Mondeo, making sure that it exudes a whole new level of quality and sophistication by using higher quality trim materials and paying close attention to detail.
