Ford is launching a series of three new personalization packages for the 2012 model year of the Fiesta. Since the Fiesta model was released two years, it had proven to be a success in most of the markets it was offered in. To make sure that the appeal of the Fiesta remains, Ford added several exciting changes.
The focus of these packages is on the look of the interior and exterior of the model and less on boosting its performance. Ford said that they are based on the personalization choices made by the majority of the Fiesta buyers.
The first is the Focus RS-inspired premium sport appearance package. It targets visual changes to the side mirrors, headlamps, grille surround, license plate header and upper rear hatch spoiler. These features all come in Tuxedo Black paint. The package also includes a set of 16-inch polished alloy wheels as well as minor tweaks to the manual transmission.
Meanwhile, the two premium interior packages are intended for the Fiesta SEL and SES models. What buyers get from ordering this package is being able to choose from high-contrasting interior accent colors in Oxford White or Race Red, two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel and a debossed “Fiesta” logo and black leather bolsters.
Customers who look forward to personalizing their Fiesta in other ways will be happy to know that there are many options. Ford Custom Accessories has everything an owner needs to add some creative touch on the Fiesta or make it more functional. When an owner likes to illuminate the interior for instance, there are many choices. There is an illuminated shift knob with gear indicator and digital gear display and illuminated door sill plates with a LED Fiesta logo for special effects.
In addition, there is an interior light kit with a LED-generated light inside the cupholder area plus a light bar in the footwell. Owners can choose from seven colors to set a particular mood or give the perfect ambience.
The hatchback’s exclusive rear roof spoiler is certainly a head-turner and this can be painted to the desired Fiesta color or in a contrasting color for added flair. The 4-piece, race motivated body kit has a sculpted front air dam, smooth rear valance and side skirts.
When it was first introduced in North America last year, a distinctive body-side tattoo was offered. This eye-catching tattoo is guaranteed to turn heads and comes in black or silver finish. The word “Fiesta” is found on the side panel. It is made of hardwearing, weather-resistant vinyl and is cut precisely to fit the curves of the car.
One more option features Ford Custom Graphics by Original Wraps, letting customers choose the design and size of sides, hood graphics or racing stripes from a collection of images. There are over 22 designs and they come in a variety of colors. Among the noteworthy designs are a cityscape, flames, bubble and ninja blades. Barely a year after the Fiesta was introduced in North America; Fiesta accessories continue to be received well. Though some customers opt for the appearance of an item, others go for functionality. At present, custom manual transmission shift knobs, the Fiesta tattoo graphic and the Euro-style upper rear hatch spoiler are the most popular accessories.
Moreover, 10% of manual-transmission Fiestas can be ordered together with the Illuminated Interior Accessory Package and Metallic Interior Accessory Package.
