Honda unveils Black and White special editions of CR-V in the UK

Article by Anita Panait, on March 7, 2014

Honda (UK) is introducing two special editions of the popular CR-V -- the Black Edition and White Edition. Both special editions share bold exterior improvements that provide the CR-V with even greater road presence. Both the Black Edition and White Edition feature 19-inch Orion alloy wheels, exhaust finisher and privacy glass.

They also feature new patterned front grille to express dynamic performance and a tailgate spoiler that extends the flowing lines of the roof over the rear window to provide a sleek look. The special edition CR-Vs boast of integrated running boards for visual impact as well as front and rear skid plates for protecting the underside.

Available as standard for the Special Editions are the CR-V SE-T that includes dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth HFT, front and rear parking sensors and power-folding door mirrors, plus metallic paint and satellite navigation. The CR-V Special Editions represent a saving of £770 compared to the CR-V SE-T combined with the relevant optional equipment.

The CR-V Special Editions will be supported online at honda.co.uk/headturner with a campaign which called the new model as “The new head-turner from Honda.” The Web site urges visitors to choose “Which one turns your head?” with an interactive graphic that indicates the percentage split between those preferring black against those opting for white.

Users can also tweet their preference with the hashtag #CRVWHITE or #CRVBLACK, or share their choice on Facebook. The Special Editions could be availed in manual or automatic and will be powered with either the 2.0 i-VTEC petrol or 2.2 i-DTEC diesel engine.

The petrol manual variant will have a starting price of £28,400 on the road. Honda (UK) is currently offering competitive low monthly PCP payments starting from £309 on the CR-V Special Edition, which benefits from a £500 deposit contribution and the five-year Honda care package that includes five years warranty, servicing and roadside assist for £500.
