Infiniti continues to experience a momentum in sales for 2015 as it sold 17,900 units in September. This is greater by 4,000 vehicles compared to September 2014, representing a 29% increase. In the first three quarters of 2015, Infiniti sold 154,600 vehicles.
This represents an increase of 21,200 units or about 16% compared to the same period last year. This is the 13th consecutive month that the company has reported best recorded individual months. Infiniti’s key markets are the Americas, China, and the Europe, Middle East and Africa region or EMEA.
The company reports that the September results from these regions outperformed the prior year by a double-digit figure. In particular, countries and regions like Australia, Canada, China, EMEA, and Mexico, managed to attain the best in September sales and best year-to-date ever.
According to Roland Krueger, president of Infiniti Motor Company, Ltd., Infiniti continues to make excellent progress, and its sales momentum more than reflects not just the strength of its product portfolio but it also considers its dealer network as well.
Krueger adds that the company thanks its many customers for continuing to trust Infiniti with their purchase. Composed of the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Latin America, the Americas remain to be the biggest sales region for Infiniti.
For September 2015, the Americas reported more than 11,500 vehicles sold which was greater by 2,600 units compared to the previous year and represents a 29% increase. Year-to-date, the company’s Americas operation has managed to increase sales by 12%, more than 105,000.
Despite having a sluggish automotive market overall, Infiniti continued to outperform competitors selling more than 3,700 vehicles for September 2015, a 48% increase. The company also experienced a 37% increase for the first nine months of 2015, reporting sales of 28,400 units.
Sales in EMEA were also up with a 19% increase reporting sales of 2,200 vehicles. The results show that even with the ongoing economic situation currently in Eastern Europe, Infiniti still managed to set a new record. For year-to-date results, sales reached 16,500 units representing a 9% increase or 1,350 vehicles greater.
Krueger relates that the September sales results are a good sign of the months to come. The company is looking forward to the sales of its entry to the global compact: the all-new Q30 active compact.
According to Krueger, the Q30 was originally introduced during the International Frankfurt Motor Show held this month and was very well received by both industry observers and customers. With the iconic design dynamic driving capabilities, the new vehicle concept will indeed add a true Infiniti to this compact segment.
