The Shooting Brake is probably the least rendered body shape in the automotive world. But it’s also the most sought after design among car nuts for its unique, old-fashioned charm. All this time, X-Tomi Design is just one of the few artists who used Shooting Brakes in their drawing board.
As a matter of fact, there were already about 10 modern versions of Shooting Brakes under X-Tomi’s collection. The iconic body style was imagined into a Lexus RC F, a Camaro, a Challenger and Mercedes AMG GT. There is also one for an Audi TT S, a Nissan GT-R, a BMW M4 and M6 as well as a Toyota GT 86 and a Ford Mustang.
For sure, it takes a lot of imagination and creativity just to come up with both the classic shooting brake body and the latest vehicle model and create one exceptional concept design. And now, X-Tomi designers have thought of something new to add to their existing collection of Shooting Brakes. Without much ado, let us all welcome the Jaguar F-Type Shooting Brake.
Obviously, the Jaguar here has a long roof that would initially remind you of a Ferrari GTC4 Lusso or even Mercedes Benz’s very sleek CLS and CLA 5-door wagons. But basically, X-Tomi’s latest concept is taken from the newly updated Jaguar F-Type 400 Sport coupe. What the designing firm did here is they stretched the roof further to the back to make it look like a shooting brake.
It’s not as if the F-Type doesn’t look gorgeous as it is already. But the shooting brake body style is undeniably more charming than any roadster or coupe body frame we could think of. Also, if we have to make the most out of this imaginative piece of work, we’d like to think that it comes equipped with a 5.0-litre V8 engine plus an all-wheel drive layout. If that’s the case, then this F-Type Shooting Brake would surely beat Ferrari’s GTC4 Lusso or at least be at the same level of style and performance.
Even though all of Jaguar’s V8 models come with an all-wheel drive, the Jaguar F-Type SVR remains as its top ranging model as it boasts up to 567hp. In any case, the recently updated 2018 Jaguar F-Type has got a new 400 Sport Edition of its own. Aside from the 20-inch alloy wheels in dark satin gray finish, the Jaguar 400 Sport comes with a 394hp 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine. What’s more, the updated chassis layout now comes with configurable dynamics and high performance braking system.
