David Beckham is now a brand ambassador for Jaguar, supporting significant future Jaguar product launches in China. Beckham will feature in above-the-line marketing campaigns for Jaguar in China. “We are absolutely thrilled that David will be an ambassador for Jaguar in China. “He is a truly modern, British individual with a genuine passion for design, innovation, performance and driving.” Being a Jaguar brand ambassador, Beckham will star in a series of print ads as well as TV commercials to be shown exclusively in China. He will be initially featured alongside the new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé, a modern classic sports car that embodies Jaguar’s vision of modern British style and elegance.
Beckham’s role will develop and will have him featured in many Jaguar brand and product communication campaigns in the next few years, including those for the Jaguar XJ. “I’ve always been an admirer of Jaguar – from the styling and design to the feel and roar of the engine, every element feels uniquely British,” Beckham said.
“I love the classic E-Type of the 60s and today this legacy is alive in the phenomenal F-TYPE Coupé, a car that epitomises British craftsmanship.” The new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé will be a prominent feature of the first phase of the Beckham campaign.
The new F-TYPE Coupé is headlined by the F-TYPE R Coupé, a supercharged sports car powered by a 550PS/680Nm 5.0-litre V8 engine. The all-aluminum F-TYPE Coupé is the personification of the design vision of the C-X16 concept. The Beckham campaign will also feature other Jaguar models, including XF and XJ saloons.
