This is paired with the automatic transmission, the same transmission present in the celebrated Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Even with this amount of power, fuel economy is at highway 21mpg. When compared to the 3.8-liter V6 engine in the previous generation, the output of the 2012 Wrangler is better by 40% with torque higher by 10%.

In terms of design, the interior reveals that the instrument panel sports a new design. The materials used have been upgraded with the storage areas showing better ergonomics. Its console is now lockable and since the door armrest areas have been enhanced, there are now excellent touch points. Further, the center stack has been redesigned as well and is easier to operate and reach. It also gets power and heated mirrors. Due to the large windows in the rear, all of the occupants are able to enjoy better visibility.
