Kevin Rose has been appointed to head the sales and marketing operations of Bentley, Volkswagen luxury brand. Rose, 55 years old, currently serves as the executive vice president for sales at FAW-VW in China. Rose’s appointment takes effect on June 1. He is the successor of Alasdair Stewart, who will be moving to VW's Skoda brand in the UK.
It was in 1978 that Rose joined the VW Group. Since then, he had served in varying senior management posts such as head of Audi and Skoda in the UK and head of sales for the VW brand in the U.S. Rose has been executive vice president at FAW-VW in China since July 2009. In 1998, Stewart was named as CEO of Bentley North America.
Since that time, he has held different executive positions at VW, including chief of marketing strategy for the group's luxury brands and Bugatti’s head of sales and marketing. In February 2010, Stewart was named as board member for sales and marketing at Bentley. The position as head of FAW-VW will go to Stephan Woellenstein, 48, who is presently the head of sales strategy and business development at VW headquarters in Wolfsburg.
