Kris Singh takes delivery of his gorgeous Pagani Huayra BC Macchina Volante

It’s not a bird. It’s not a plane. It’s Kris Singh’s blue carbon flying machine! Time stood still for a few minutes after the extremely rare Pagani Huayra BC Macchina Volante landed on Miami last weekend. Known to fellow car enthusiasts as @Lamborghiniks on Instagram, Singh went over to the airport on Friday to take delivery of his very unique blue carbon Pagani. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the 12th Huayra BC.

To bear the Pagani Huayra BC Macchina Volante badge, the vehicle is required to live up to its heritage, history and inspiration. After all, the name stands for Mr. Horacio Pagani himself (CEO and Founder of Pagani Automobili), BC for Benny Caiola (the famous Italian car collector) as well as the great Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci, Pagani’s source of inspiration behind the name Macchina Volante.

As we sifted through Singh’s earlier Instagram posts, the Miami-based car collector recounted the story behind the Machinna Volante (or the flying machine). The name was undeniably inspired by da Vinci’s fascination for designing and building a machine that would allow man to take flight. Being the artist with a very sophisticated mind for his time, da Vinci incorporated wings onto his flying concepts just as he imagined how winged animals such as bats, birds and the like would flap their wings to fly.

As for the Huayra BC, Horacio Pagani applied the same principle by making it appear like a low flying machine with flaps and wing for efficient aerodynamics. Singh’s Pagani Huayra Benny Caiola is the first and only to come with additional air intakes on the rear three quarter panels plus a roof scoop akin to the Pagani Zonda Cinque.

Since this is also about history and inspiration, Pagani sourced the type of vintage tartan fabric found on the legendary Mercedes W196, and employed the same on Singh’s newly acquired Huayra model. The iconic W196 race car was then driven by Juan Miguel Fangio of Argentina during the F1 championships between 1954 to 1955. Fangio, for those who didn’t know, is one of the influential figures who helped bring Horacio Pagani to where he is today. Thus, the name Zonda F.

Moving forward, the Pagani Huayra BC is the most extremely loaded Huayra production car ever built at present. As standard, a Huayra Benny Caiola is packed with Mercedes-AMG’s 6.0-liter twin turbo V12 engine capable of up to 789hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. Tipping the scales at only 1,218 kg, the Huayra BC is 132 kg lighter than the standard Huayra.

That being said, the new addition to Kris Singh’s garage will either sit beside or in between his other exotic possessions. This includes his favorite Pagani Huayra La Monza Lisa, the Koenigsegg Agera XS and of course his beloved Lamborghini Veneno. And just like the rest of Singh's followers on Instagram, we wish to see more of his gorgeous blue Macchina Volante whether it's day or night. So keep the posts coming, Mr. Singh!
