Lone Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage is marked for Hong Kong

As announced, 2016 marks the 50th year since Lamborghini launched the first Lamborghini Miura. As part of this 50th anniversary celebration, Lamborghini conducted special displays, rallies, and a number of events, as well as by offering a special edition of its successor – the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage. Only 50 examples – corresponding to Miura’s age – of the special Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage would be made available to customers in selected markets.

Hong Kong has been chosen as one of the markets in which the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage is offered. This is not surprising as the former British colony is among the top financial centers in the world, ranking along London, New York City, Singapore and Tokyo. But here is the catch: only one example of the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage is allocated to this market – a unit wrapped in Verde Scandal (solid green) color with matte silver accents.

As for how much that lucky buyer would have to shell out just to acquire this Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage – which has been homologated according to Hong Kong specification -- around HK$8,000,000 ($1.03M) would be needed. The amount already includes tax.

Lamborghini has assigned its Ad Personam customization division to take charge in personalizing the Lamborghini Aventador with specs and colors that pay a tribute to the Miura. Ad Personam’s work includes giving all Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage with a two-tone paintjob. The dominant upper section is wrapped in one color, while the lower body is painted with a contrasting tone.

For instance, the upper section of the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage for Hong Kong is wrapped in Verde Scandal – a popular color on the Lamborghini Diablo GT and LP560 Gallardo – while its lower section comes in matte silver. A Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage with Rosso Arancio Miura upper body features a yellow lower section.

All Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage units – including the one for the Hong Kong market – ride on Dione alloys wheels in either gold or matte silver, with sizes of 20 inches on the front and 21 inches on the rear. As a special edition, there is a need to distinguish the model from a typical Aventador. This was achieved by providing this special edition with a black Lamborghini logo at the back and a metallic Miura badge on the side skirts.

Inside, a “Lamborghini” lettering has been placed on the leather-wrapped dashboard, while a “Miura 50th” logo has been stitched into the upper section of the seat that could be availed in either silver or gold. The cabin also features a fancy plate that identifies the model as a special edition Aventador. Customers could have the cabin upholstered in either Nero Ade or Terra Emilia leather upholstery with tone-on-tone stitching. All Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage models feature a carbon fiber package.

Powering the Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage is the same naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that powers a typical Aventador, delivering 700 hp (515 kilowatts) of max output and 507 pound-feet (690 Newton-meters) of peak torque. This means that a Lamborghini Aventador Miura Homage could sprint from zero to 62 mph (0-100 kph) in 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 217 mph (350 kph).
