In order to make the car even more special, Land Rover launched a special edition of the Defender, called XTech. The new Defender XTech Special Edition is offered in two colours, Orkney Grey or striking Nara Bronze, in contrast with the Santorini Black roof and wheel arches and black chequer plate along the bumper and sills.

Moreover, the front lights are are enhanced with Santorini Black headlamp surrounds, while a special ‘Defender’ decal is found above the rear LED lights. The design of the front end is completed by the body colour grille and gloss black Land Rover lettering on the bonnet. The rear features a step bumper assembly that aids entry exit and loading.

The design of the car is completed by the Gloss Black Saw Tooth 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MTR off-road tyres. The vehicle features pure Ebony part leather interior that complements both the Orkney Grey and Nara Bronze with contrast Lunar stitching. Furthermore, we find the Land Rover logo embossed on front headrests.

Because it is a special edition, the Defender XTech comes loaded with lots of equipment such as Air Conditioning, Anti-Lock Brakes with Electronic Traction Control, central locking with remote control and heated seats and windscreen. For those interested, the XTech Special Edition will be available on the 90 Hard Top and 110 Utility Wagon models, each powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine with six-speed manual transmission, delivering 360 Nm of torque. Pricing starts at £27,995 in the United Kingdom.

Do you own a Land Rover Defender? Want to pimp your ride to a whole new level? Well, now is a good time for you. There are three additional options for the Land Rover Defender, and not just that, two new body colors as well – Barolo Black and Havana.

Furthermore, Land Rover Defender customers may choose from a new premium seat design, an upgraded in-car entertainment and four new contrast roof colors.

Its specifications have also quite improved with the introduction of the EU5 2.2-liter diesel engine, ventilated discs, and detail improvements to the interior as well as new ‘S’ and ‘SE’ trim level option packs. For a more effective control in terms of fuel costs, three speed-limiting options are also offered.

Land Rover Global Brand Director John Edwards acknowledges that personalization (such as its range of contrast roof colors) and driving comfort are what draws customers towards the Land Rover Defender. Retaining its rugged appeal which it has been famous for, the Land Rover Defender now sits on a powerful 2.2-liter diesel engine that can take it to any kind of terrain plus a greater range of personalization choices for its customers.
