Leaked: 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, Lexus GX show up

Article by Christian A., on August 22, 2013

2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and its sister model 2014 Lexus GX will only be launched later this year but photos with the two new models already emerged on the web. As you can see from the photos, the 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado comes with a redesign front end featuring stylish headlights, a new grille, restyled front and rear bumpers as well as a new set of rear tail lamps.

2014 Lexus GX shows a new front grille, similar to the one found on other redesigned models and other small changes. For those who don't know, this will be the last model of the GX as Lexus will replace it with the TX crossover.

The engines are expected to remain the same found on the current models, a 4.6-liter V8 on the 2014 Lexus GS and a variety of petrol and diesel engines for the 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. More details will be revealed soon!

Land Cruiser’s successive generations feature an exterior design that combines the style and aesthetics of a vehicle that is very at home in whatever environment with the power, robustness, and durability of a genuine 4-wheel drive vehicle.

The new Land Cruiser boasts a face that draws on a number of structural elements from the brand’s unique design heritage. The high-positioned face blends perfectly with a radiator grille structure, an integrated headlamp, and a vertical, 2-step construction, all helping reinforce the Toyota 4x4's reliability, toughness, and excellent off-road performance.

Moreover, the Land Cruiser’s newly designed radiator grille, along with the new rectilinear headlamp clusters, has been integrated into one more powerful-looking structure, positioned higher so as to offer better component protection while off-road driving.

The classic Land Cruiser’s grille further evolved in the new model. The new Land Cruiser now has a thick metallic plated structure featuring 5 powerfully projecting vertical bars that directly sink into the vehicle’s front bumper, giving the illusion of a larger grille as well as a thicker front bumper. This accentuates the new Land Cruiser’s rugged look.

The new Land Cruiser’s vehicle profile is enhanced with its newly designed 17-inch 6-spoke and 18-inch 12-spoke wheels. The 17-inch 6-spoke wheels are also available in steel.
