Leaked: 2015 Chevrolet Cruze makes its unofficial debut

Article by Christian A., on March 31, 2014

Earlier today we announced you that General Motors is recalling the Chevrolet Cruze, while few days ago we told you that the American carmaker stopped sales of turbocharged 2013-2014 Cruze. Today we have more news about the Cruze, but this time we are talking about the second-generation Cruze that showed up completely undisguised on the Web thanks to CarNewsChina.

Comparing it with its predecessor, the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze looks much better and ready to make its debut at the Auto China 2014 in Beijing, next month. As you can see from the photos, the vehicle comes with a brand new face featuring redesigned headlights, new LED daytime running lights and a big air intake.

At the rear, we find new taillights as well as a new front bumper with integrated air diffuser. The interior was also refined and comes with lots of chromed accents, a large touchscreen display, brown leather but also a glossy black trim.

Under the hood we expect to see a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 112 hp (83 kW) and 146 Nm (108 lb-ft) of torque but also the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 148 hp (110 kW) and 235 Nm (173 lb-ft) of torque. The engines will be offered with five- and six-speed transmissions but also with the optional seven-speed DSG gearbox.
