Leaked: 2015 Fiat 500X shows its face

Fiat already teased the 500X ahead of 2014 Paris Motor Show but the naughty crossover showed its face on the Web today. Shared on an Italian forum, the new vehicle looks much better than expected and we believe that it will become quite popular. Unfortunately there are not too many details, we do know that the 2015 Fiat 500X is based on the Jeep Renegade.

This means that the Italian model will also share engines with its American brother and under its hood we will see the 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine with 160 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

We also expect to see the bigger 2.4-liter inline-four petrol engine that delivers 184 hp and 177 pounds-feet of torque, bolted to a 9-speed manual transmission.

As standard, the 500X will arrive with front-wheel-drive but as an option Fiat will offer the all-wheel-drive system. Moreover, a new suspension system will be available too because the 500X is capable to take you on uneven roads.

Featuring a design penned by the Centro Stile Fiat, the new 500X opens up a new dimension for the Fiat 500. The new Fiat 500X combines the 500’s iconic styling and the elements of a modern crossover, including a considerable off-road capability for outdoor adventures.
