Matthias Mueller to serve as executive board chair for 5 more years

The Supervisory Board of Porsche AG has re-appointed as Matthias Mueller as Chairman of the Executive Board for another five years. Mueller has been holding the post since October 1, 2010. His new term of office will start 1 January 2015.

Wolfgang Porsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, thanked Mueller, saying that under his leadership, the carmaker has continued to develop positively, adding that “the integration of the sports car manufacturer into the Volkswagen Group worked perfectly.”

Uwe Hueck, Porsche AG‘s Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the general and group works council, highlighted the significant increase in the number of employees.

“Porsche and the number of employees are growing – in Zuffenhausen, in Weissach and in Leipzig, Hueck said. 

“However, in spite of this growth, we want to preserve the proven Porsche culture and we will continue to go down this road with Matthias Mueller.” Hueck described Mueller as “an employer with a heart.” 

The Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, has also renewed Mueller's appointment as Chairman of Strategy and Corporate Development for five more years, starting on January 1, 2015. [source: Porsche]
