Article by Christian A., on January 6, 2015

Mazda has commenced sales of two new special edition 5-door Mazda2 models -- the Black Edition and White Edition -- on January, 1 2015 at £12,145 on-the-road. The Black Edition and White Edition do not only offers engaging driving dynamics, but also boasts of sporting styling cues and a package of distinct specification features.

Mazda UK Sales Director Peter Allibon remarked that the Mazda2 Black Edition and White Edition represent a “last chance” for their customers to get their hands on a unique version of the current 5-door Mazda2.

He added that the latest special edition models come with bespoke exterior and interior styling with a lavish standard equipment specification, which means individuality and outstanding value for money.

The models feature Jet Black Mica or Crystal White Pearlescent exterior colors – blended carefully with diffuser-style rear bumper trim, a Jet Black rear spoiler and power-operated, heated folding door mirrors, rear privacy glass and 15-inch Dark Grey alloy wheels.

The models also boast of unique Black Edition and White Edition badging, as well as color-coded bonnet and roof stripe graphics.

Inside the special edition models are body-colored accents to the door trim and air vents, black cloth upholstery – matched with red piping, glossy Dark Grey audio panel and steering wheel inserts.

Adding to the flair of standard special edition equipment are manual air-conditioning, a CD player with two speakers, USB and AUX connectivity and steering wheel-integrated Bluetooth hands-free system.

The Black Edition and White Edition also feature Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and a Traction Control System (TCS). They are powered by 1.3-liter 75ps petrol engine paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. [source: Mazda]
