Article by Christian A., on August 27, 2010

Mercedes-Benz's fashion activities in more than 20 countries have gained a new face. Julia Stegner, an internationally acclaimed top model will make her debut as the fashion brand-ambassador at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Autumn/Winter 2009, which will run from January 28 to February 1 2009 at Bebelplatz, in the center of Berlin.

At a current photo shoot for the new key visual, Julia Stegner posed along with the Mercedes-Benz CLS 350 CGI Grand Edition in garments by Anne Valerie Hash. The new key visual will be seen on advertisements, posters and vehicles at the only German fashion show that is counted among the top in international events.

The special, 4-door coupe highlights an extraordinary design that merges the sporty stylishness of a coupe with the flair of a luxury sedan. This special model is scheduled for sale beginning in January next year.

One of the most desired fashion photographers in the world, Michelangelo di Battista, setup an encounter between the top model and the design trendsetter by the carmaker based in Stuttgart.

Vice President of Brand Communications for Mercedes-Benz Cars Anders Sundt Jensen shares that the company has given its international fashion activities a new face by choosing Julia Stegner as its new brand ambassador. He adds that she symbolizes the synthesis of its international style and its German origins.

This is the main reason why Julia Stegner was partnered with the Mercedes-Benz CLS Grand Edition, set to be released by March 2009, Jensen continues. The CLS Grand Edition is a four-door coupe that has the style of a luxury sedan mixed with the sportiness of a coupe. This special model will be available in the market starting in January 2009.

The main reason why Stuttgart-based Mercedes-Benz was able to avail of the services of trendsetter and top model Julia Stegner can be credited largely to well-renowned fashion photographer Michelangelo di Battista.

He explains that the concept was for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks to have a red carpet situation and therefore establish a relationship between the elegance of the CLS Grand Edition and fashion.

This particular visual design is due to the association of Mercedes-Benz Design and fashion, embodying elegance, luxury, and style. According to Julia Stegner, fashion and Mercedes-Benz are a good fit as its cars are very fashionable. Stegner adds that she is happy to be the international fashion brand-ambassador for the brand.
