Copies of the Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake have already been made even as it has only just arrived in the market. There’s a miniature model as well as a faithful copy of the innovative coupé with its stretched roofline. Collectors couldn’t help but be glad about this development. Starting at the end of October, the model car is offered in 1:18 and 1:43 scale from Mercedes-Benz sales partners.

It’s also available from the online shop at Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH made sure that the Model Car Selection is highly accurate. Norev, the model car specialist, co-designed the CLS Shooting Brake model with the use of original CAD data. The original paints are used by the miniatures, which are built by hand.

Two scales are available. The CLS Shooting Brake was built by Norev using over 115 individual parts on a 1:18 scale. Meanwhile, the 25.5 centimetre long model is built with zinc die cast.

The doors, bonnet and boot could be opened. Its interior and the floor of the boot are flocked. Its interior design features are all faithful to the original. Some of its fittings are LED headlamps with Intelligent Light System (ILS) and light alloy wheels using a multi-spoke design. Priced at 69.90 euros, the model car will go on sale starting the end of October.

It is available in the following colors: obsidian black, thulite red and design magno allanite grey. It also includes a glove and a screwdriver to remove the model from the packaging. The second miniature has a length of only twelve centimetres.

It built the CLS Shooting Brake on a scale of 1:43. Over 53 separate parts were used on the zinc die cast model. It is available in the following original paint colors: iridium silver, diamond white metallic BRIGHT and manganite grey SHAPE.

LED headlamps with ILS and aluminium wheels in multi-spoke design are some of its accessory details. This Norev model, which has a price tag of 29.90 euros, is sold with a presentation show case on a printed base.

The new CLS Shooting Brake from Mercedes-Benz is expected to make people notice it by using a creative design concept in order to highlight why it continues to take the lead when it comes to design. Specifically, the new CLS makes use of five doors with a roof that goes all the way to the back. While this may not be that big of a deal for some other models, the CLS Shooting Brake has proportions similar to a coupe, thus opening up various new possibilities.

Simply put, this newest model from Mercedes-Benz reveals a rather innovative development of what is commonly known as the four-door coupe concept. It’s a concept that was first implemented when the CLS was originally launched in 2004. Since that time, this template has been copied a number of times. Overall, the main result is that it offers auto independence at its most charming.

While the proportions are indeed much like that of a coupe, the new CLS Shooting Brake manages to use this in order to deliver a more crouched posture. It gives the appearance as if the CLS is preparing itself to leap. Reinforcing this imagery is the combination of a long bonnet and a narrow window profile with the side windows being frameless.

Adding to this theme is the roof that dynamically slopes to the rear before moving on to the tail end. That the new CLS Shooting Brake has actually five doors will generally become obvious by taking a second glance. However, it is not just about doors as the new model also has more functions to offer. It is safe to say that this newest offering from Mercedes-Benz is the best example so far of a sports car having five seats and at the same time having a large tailgate.

This model is the best option for those who want to make themselves unique but also want a vehicle that will have the stowage space or the sportiness in order to travel in style. Further, this new model serves to highlight the innovation that the brand has when it comes to a luxury vehicle series. Similar to the CLS Coupe, the new CLS Shooting Brake is expected to take the lead for what may be a new segment on the market.

CEO Dr Dieter Zetsche shares that every authentic car icon should be able to attract the mind and the heart. He adds that while vehicles should always display functionality, a number of the brand’s customers typically take it for granted.

This is the reason why, he continued, the CLS Shooting Brake stands apart from the rest. CEO Zetsche goes on to say that this new model is able to offer fascination and combine it with functionality not previously seen in other models.
