June 2013 marks a very special month for Mercedes-Benz dealerships as they received 18 new AMG high-performance models for sale. The launch of these 18 new AMG models is the personification of the "AMG Performance 50" future strategy in the buildup to the 50th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG GmbH in 2017.

Ola Källenius, chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH remarked that the market launch of 18 new AMG models reflects their “consistent focus on performance, dynamism and growth.” The new AMG vehicles boast of power output ranging from 265 kW (360 hp) to 552 kW (751 hp), reflecting the brand’s performance and superb efficiency.

Källenius cited some models that were launched. He said that the A 45 AMG will appeal to new customers and tap into new markets while the C 63 AMG "Edition 507," which could be availed in Coupé, Saloon and Estate variants, is a “sporty model and full of character” and is made for fans of AMG’s high-capacity V8 naturally aspirated engine.

Källenius also boasted of a wide range of new S-Models and 4MATIC all-wheel drive variants of the E 63 AMG and CLS 63 AMG. He likewise vaunted the SLS AMG Coupé Black Series and the SLS AMG Coupé Electric Drive, which he says exemplifies the state of the art in technical terms with regards to development of superb sports cars. Aside from going through the classic vehicle delivery method at dealerships and authorized agents of Mercedes-Benz, customers could also have their AMG high-performance vehicle delivered direct from the AMG Customer Centre in Affalterbach, Germany.

Through this alternative delivery method, a customer could gain exclusive insight into the world of AMG, experiencing first-hand the excellent quality of customer care typical of AMG. A customer will be taken care of by a personal customer service advisor and will be treated to some hospitality in the AMG Private Lounge. The customer will also have a tour of the Affalterbach site.
