Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG S Model UK pricing announced

Introducing the most powerful vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz E-Class range and the fastest E-Class in the United Kingdom -- the E 63 AMG S Model! The top-of-the-range E 63 AMG S Model boasts of 585 hp in output and 800 Nm of torque, reflecting a 28-hp and 80-Nm increase over the standard E 63 AMG.

This is thanks to the AMG rear axle limited-slip differential lock that comes as standard. This also makes the E 63 AMG S Model 0.1 seconds faster than the standard model. Its Saloon variant could accelerate from zero to 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds, while its Estate version could reach the speed in just 4.2 seconds.

The E 63 AMG S Model Saloon has a combined fuel consumption of 28.5 mpg with carbon dioxide emissions of 232 g/km. The Estate variant, meanwhile, has combined fuel consumption of 28.3 mpg with carbon dioxide emissions of 234 g/km – the same as the standard E 63 AMG Estate. Power is not only thing enhanced on the E 63 AMG S Model, but the exterior as well.

The S Model features a high-gloss black front apron with silver-shadow splitter, side sill panels and rear trim strip with silver-shadow inserts and an AMG spoiler in body color. It also features 19-inch AMG alloy wheels in Titanium matt grey, red brake calipers, and ‘S’ labeling on the boot lid. The interior of the model likewise received improvements. It boasts of black nappa leather upholstery with grey contrast stitching, silver seat belts and an AMG emblem in the headrests.

The S Model also have an electric rear roller blind for the Saloon, AMG door sills with white LED illumination, and an AMG instrument cluster with red applications and S Model badging. A customer could choose from seven standard metallic paints and one non-metallic paint (Polar White).

These paint choices are complimented by: two metallic paint options (Diamond White and Hyacinth Red for £480), two designometallic paints (Mocha Black and Graphite for £1,125) and two designo Magno matt paints (Allanite Grey and Cashmere White for £2,775). The E 63 AMG S Model will be available starting June 2013. The Saloon and Estate versions will have starting prices of £83,740 OTR and £85,530 OTR respectively.

Mercedes-Benz's E63 AMG boasts AMG model-specific light-alloy wheels. Standard 10-spoke light-alloy wheels are painted in titanium grey complete with high-sheen finish. Size 255/40 R 18 front tyres come with 9 x 18 wheels and 285/35 R 18 rear tyres come with 9.5 x 18 wheels. The tyre-and-wheel combinations on all the 4MATIC variants as well as on the E63 AMG S-Model are actually one size up: 255/35 R 19 for the front and 285/30 R 19 for the rear on the AMG light-alloy wheels in 9 x 19 and 9.5 x 19, fitting snugly with the wheel arches.

Moreover, only the high-performance Benz S-Model features 10-spoke light-alloy wheels in matt titanium grey finish with high-sheen rim flange. Available is a special option from the AMG Performance Studio that is lightweight forged five-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels plus covered wheel bolts in titanium grey with high-sheen finish.

All AMG high-performance vehicles assure spontaneous and fade-resistant deceleration as well as the shortest stopping distances possible. E63 AMG's front and rear axles sport perforated and ventilated brake disks in 360-mm format. These front discs boast tried and tested composite technology that effectively helps offset temperature peaks.

Furthermore, models rated at 557 hp can be distinguished through silver-painted brake callipers with white AMG letters featuring 6-piston technology for the front and 4-piston technology for the rear. Meanwhile, the S-Model's brake callipers are painted red.
