Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine unveil ARROW460 luxury yacht

Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine unveiled the final exterior and interior design of the ARROW460 – Granturismo new luxury motor yacht at the Monaco Yacht Show held from September 25 to 28, 2013. The ARROW460 – Granturismo merges the hallmark design features of Mercedes-Benz vehicles with innovations in the boat building industry.

Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine have presented a two-meter long model and detailed renderings of the 14-meter long luxury yacht, considered as the ‘Granturismo of the seas.’ Silver Arrows Marine is also opening its order book for the Edition 1, a special limited-numbers launch edition that marks the arrival of the ARROW460 – Granturismo.

Aside from the model yacht, Mercedes-Benz Style has showcased its entire product portfolio at the Upper Deck Lounge of the Monaco Yacht Show. The final design of the yacht features clear contours and smooth surfaces, thereby providing an expression of refined sportiness. Its stretched hull reflects the sensual purity of the design -- dynamic but not aggressive, sophisticated but not subject to fashion.

The design of the ARROW460 – Granturismo is inspired by classic auto proportions. A feature line dropping towards the stern distinguishes the yacht’s profile the same way the Mercedes "dropping line" distinguishes the cars. Underlining the design uniqueness of the ARROW460 – Granturismo is the upright and three-dimensional bow section.

The ARROW460 – Granturismo is powered by two diesel engines providing 353 kW (480 hp) each. The yacht is being launched with the Edition 1 model, of which 10 units will be produced. Interested buyers can order the Edition 1 model directly from Silver Arrows Marine at a price of EUR1.25 million (plus VAT) with deliveries to start in early 2015. [source: Daimler]
