Mopar is taking the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker a step further with its new '14 Challenger. The Mopar ’14 Challenger can be considered as the rarest limited-production model in the Challenger series, with only 100 units produced. Aside from sporting a distinct "Moparized" look, the new Mopar ’14 Challenger has been engineered in way that it can take on whatever combination of the three “Scat Packages.”
According to Mopar’s brand head, Pietro Gorlier, the '14 Challenger is another factory-engineered example of Mopar’s ability to make limited-edition muscle vehicles such as the Challenger more special. Mopar, he said, makes it simple with its one-stop customization shop, coming up with three 'Scat Packages' as well as more than a hundred quality-tested performance parts and accessories that are available for the Challenger.
The '14 Challenger boasts a Gloss Black or Bright White exterior paint that is highlighted with a "Mopar Blue" Shaker-style stripe, in keeping with the tradition of its limited-edition predecessors: the Mopar '11 Charger, the Mopar '10 Challenger, the Mopar '13 Dart, and the Mopar '12 300. And for a more customized look, Mopar offers a couple of additional options for the “Mopar Blue” stripe: a triple "rocker panel" body-side stripe with "MOPAR" running across the doors; and bolder-looking A-line body-side stripe wrapped over the deck lid with an "Omega M" Mopar logo on the car’s rear quarter.
Enthusiasts who are eager to get a taste of the legendary heritage of the Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker will find their craving satisfied with the '14 Challenger. The Satin Black-colored Shaker hood scoop sticks out with its "Shaker" logo and raised profile reverberating while its 5.7L HEMI V-8 is running. Meanwhile for the Bright White paint, distinctive design elements that provide a contrast against this include new 20” x 8” Gloss Black aluminum wheels complete with Mopar center caps, a Black fuel-filler door, a Black Vapor grille surround, and a deck-lid spoiler in Gloss Black with same-colored "Mopar Design" badge and quarter-glass decals.
What’s more, the '14 Challenger model's Dark Slate interior provides a factory-customized appearance with unique Mopar appointments. Additionally, performance front seats with striking premium black Nappa Leather bolsters sport Mopar Blue accent thread as well as Omega M logos that are embroidered on their backs. Mopar Blue thread is also used to sew together the seams of the armrest, the 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the pistol-grip shifter boot.
Furthermore, Mopar created a customized monroney label, serialized instrument panel plaque, and branded key fobs in its efforts to make the '14 Challenger as unique as the riding experience it provides. The tradition of Mopar-designed vehicles continues as '14 Challenger owners are given a personalized and custom-crafted owner's kit, complete with a Mopar '14 Challenger brochure, a one-of-a-kind Mopar '14 memorabilia, and items that are customized and crafted with each vehicle’s serial number.
Needless to say, the new Mopar '14 Challenger takes vehicle customization to a whole new level. While the vehicle already sports unique Mopar Design accessories, customers can opt for even more catalog accessories that will be installed at Mopar’s Custom Shop before it arrives to the local dealer. Customers can also take customization up a notch with additional Mopar accessories that are available at their dealership.
