Nissan e-NV200 VIP Concept previews a zero emission future for businessmen

Article by Christian A., on September 26, 2014

For the VIPs that want their car to provide the well-known luxurious interior but also zero emissions for the environment, Nissan unveiled the e-NV200 VIP Concept. The well-known e-NV200 received a two-tone exterior paint but the interior is the one that needs to be highlighted. Why? Because the e-NV200 VIP Concept gets two ‘Club Class’ rear seats with integrated armrests and extending leg rests.

The seats are located behind the sliding door which means that the you can easily access the interior and receive an impressive 670 mm legroom. Behind the seats, there is also room for luggage, which makes the concept ideal for business travelers at airport transfers.

The rear passengers also get a 21.5-inch DSP monitor which can display movies or other images from any other digital device such as a smartphone, laptop or tablet. Rear passengers are treated like VIPs and receive a fridge as well as an individual reading lamp.

Nissan equipped the vehicle with the Smart Rear-View mirror that made its debut earlier this year at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. If you don’t remember, the new Smart Rear-View mirror keeps the same structure of the conventional rear view mirror but gets a built-in LCD monitor linked to a high-resolution camera mounted on the rear of the vehicle in order to provide a clear view of the rear.

Under the hood, there is an 80 kWh AC synchronous electric motor as well as a 48-module lithium-ion battery used by the Nissan Leaf.

"The e-NV200 Evalia is already an unprecedentedly quiet and comfortable vehicle, and this concept takes zero emission downtown transportation further, to a new level of serenity. The e-NV200 concept for VIPs is guaranteed to generate interest from luxury VIP operators," said Dany Boulenger, Nissan's Global Corporate Sales, Division General Manager. [source: Nissan]
