Nissan unveils the Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept in Malaysia

Article by Christian A., on June 19, 2013

The Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept has just been unveiled at the Super GT International Series Malaysia 2013. Inspired by Performance Package Concept, the new Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept comes with striking exterior features such as front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts, a rear spoiler as well as a new set of 17-inch alloy wheels.

Also, a new sport suspension was added as well as a Nismo exhaust muffler in order to deliver a proper sound. According to the official press release, the new sport package is set to be launched in Malaysia in the fourth quarter of this year.

“The Nissan Almera Nismo Performance Package Concept is being unveiled for the first time in the world, together with Edaran Tan Chong Motor, our long-term partner here in Malaysia. We are glad to have our Nismo brand in Nissan’s mainstream models as it offers something special in terms of advanced motorsports technology, dynamic performance capabilities, and distinctively sporty design that is embodied in Nismo, Nissan’s motorsports, performance and personalization brand.” said Mr. Shoichi Miyatani, President of NISMO.

Nissan Almera is a traditional four-door, five-seat saloon with an enduring body shape displaying Nissan’s DNA clearly. The elongated wheelbase aids in creating a roomy interior while the spacious baggage area is intelligently hidden by the sweeping roofline and back window that combines with the trunk lid.

In front, Nissan's recognisable broad four-bar grille is chrome, just like the door handles, to emphasise the superior look. But displaying the eye for detail that has assisted in producing the new Almera, the chrome has anti-corrosion knowhow that was especially created by Nissan.

The chrome has a unique trivalent compound that can handle attacks from the chemicals used in de-icing the streets and highways in Russia to preserve the exceptional chrome appearance.

Biggest cabin in class

Four doors open wide to offer easy accessibility to an interior that is considerably bigger than others in its class. The rear cabin knee room is in fact more liberal than what is offered by some other cars in the premium D segment and is certainly able to carry three adults comfortably. Along with having more cabin room than its rivals, with 500 litres, the Nissan Almera's trunk is one of the biggest in its sector.
