North Carolina dealership wants to get 140 of remaining 2017 Dodge Vipers

Article by Christian A., on October 25, 2016

Soon, Fiat Chrysler’s Dodge brand will be ending the production of the Dodge Viper. So practically, the 2017 Dodge Viper will be the last Viper up for grabs.

Gerry Wood Dodge, a dealership in Salisbury, North Carolina, is taking advantage of the situation to ensure that those interested in acquiring these American supercars have their own. But, they better hurry, as Gerry Wood Dodge ordered only 135 to 140 units of the remaining 2017 Dodge Viper. So, if you want one, call or visit this dealership as soon as you can.

Boasting of being purely American-made, the 2017 Dodge Viper hand-built supercar is powered by a high-output naturally aspirated engine mated to a manual transmission.

Brad Wood of Gerry Wood Auto Group remarked that when Dodge confirmed that it will cease production of the Viper in 2017, he felt obligated -- as a fan, owner, and Dodge dealer -- to help others enjoy the rare privilege of experiencing this supercar.

Around 40 of the ordered Dodge Vipers are exclusive and distinct Special Edition models, as created by a Viper Team from Gerry Wood Dodge. Led by Brad Wood, the Viper Team toiled for many hours and selected from a palette of more than 8,000 colors to create these three Special Edition models: ACR Solid, Advanced Aero Solid and Black Stripe editions. Gerry Wood Dodge assures that each Special Edition model is 100-percent unique and has never before existed. Each Special Edition is a numbered series having its own numbered dash plaque – making each of them one of a kind.

The ACR Solid edition is a 2017 Dodge Viper GTC featuring ACR Extreme Aero specifications as well as carbon fiber treatments and one-of-one colors epitomizing the ACR experience. Only 17 ACR Solid Edition models are available.

Meanwhile, the Advanced Aero Solid edition is a 2017 Dodge Viper GTC sporting Advanced Aero package with luxury appointments and stunning One-of-One color selections. Only 14 Advanced Aero Solid models will be made.

On the other hand, the Black Stripe edition is a 2017 Dodge Viper GTC wrapped in black and gold color combo. With only six units ordered, the Black Stripe edition comes with ACR Extreme Aero spec, showing off the stripe options offered in the One-of-One program.

According to Gerry Wood Dodge’s Web site, the 2017 Dodge Viper order (135 to 140 units) represents around 99 percent of remaining production, implying that these cars could be the last Vipers to be coming off the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant.

Grabbing those last orders may prove to be profitable for Gerry Wood Dodge. However, Gerry Wood Auto Group remarked that since the orders for the 2017 Viper were not being filled and the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant is closing down, it just made sure all cars were produced.
