The new NOVITEC TuLesto, with its spectacular design, uncompromising high-performance concept and its highly limited edition consisting of just eleven cars, make it the most exclusive high-end sports car on the planet. The new mid-engined racecar comes at 462 centimeters long, 204 centimeters wide and 122 centimeters high, and tips the scales at just 1,260 kilograms. The racecar was built in Stetten, Bavaria by the German carmaker NOVITEC.
The racecar is powered by a V8 engine with two superchargers and a power yield of 777hp (571.8kW). The car comes with remarkable power-to-weight ratio of just 1.62kg/hp due to its carbon fiber and aluminum construction. Consequently, the car comes with driving performance that only very few super sports cars can equal. Acceleration from standstill to 100km/h is reached in 3.4 seconds and hits 300km/h in 22.6 seconds with 350km/h as maximum speed.
The new racecar is NOVITEC's first proprietary car and marks the German carmaker's 20 years in the industry. The new NOVITEC TuLesto represents the carmaker's collective knowledge and experience from twenty years of automobile tuning resulting in a categorically high-performance racecar offered for eleven of their most loyal customers from around the globe. The new TuLesto comes with an optimized combination of outstanding driving dynamics and thrilling but aero efficient design. One of the main targets since the start of the project was lightweight construction. The materials used are usually found in racecars. The TuLesto's chassis and built-in safety cell come entirely from aluminum, making them totally lightweight but extremely tough at the same time. NOVITEC worked in tandem with the Italian design studio Luca Serafini Stile in Modena to come up with the stunning design of the sports car. The distinctive form of the TuLesto was made with the use of high-tech CAD and CFD technologies, and supported by the use of the wind tunnel.
The stunning fender curves, front apron, the form of the rear and sleek underbody with built-in venture tunnel and air diffuser were subjected to wind tunnel calibration to produce an optimized aerodynamic harmonization. The new NOVITEC TuLesto was designed with a classic mid-engine configuration for ideal weight distribution. The powerplant unit, which is a 4.4-liter 4-valve V8 with dual superchargers, is installed directly at the back of the cockpit.
Power yield for the high-tech powerplant is 777hp (571.8kW) which is attained at 8200rmp and maximum torque of 727Nm is reached at 6300. Power transfer was inspired by Motorsports, with six gears of the semi-auto gearbox coming with built-in anti-slip differential are shifted with carbon fiber paddles mounted behind the steering wheel. Maximum driving safety on the road or track is guaranteed by and adaptable traction control system with launch control.
The suspension of the NOVITEC TuLesto also received racing technology, as with the GT-series racing, it also comes with double-wishbone suspension at both front and rear, height-adjustable struts with different selectable damping rates and adaptable sway bars. With a push of a button the front end of the car can be raised by four centimeters to negotiate ramps and other similar road obstacles. For maximum stopping power and endurance the car's stopping system comes with anti-lock which highlights ceramic composite discs and 6-piston fixed calipers for both front and rear.
Further basic contribution to the excellent driving dynamics of the NOVITEC TuLesto is from its ultra-light light-alloy wheels that come with 20 or 21 inch diameters. These were custom-developed for this sports car and are equipped with semi slicks up to 355 mm broad on the axle at the back. The inside of the car is without a doubt sporty in character featuring creature comforts like climate-control system and a high-end audio system. The dominant element in the interior is lightweight carbon fiber, which is utilized for the dashboard, center console and door trim together with the sports bucket seats which are custom-fitted in form, shape, size, color and cover contingent on the future owner of the 11 NOVITEC TuLesto models.
