Novitec Rosso upgrades the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2010

The engineers at Novitec Rosso have revealed a tuning package that raises the performance and improves the appearance of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. From an output of 540 hp at 7,250 rpm and 588 Nm at 5,250 rpm, the Scaglietti grand tourer's 5.8 liter V12 powerplant can now produce 565 hp at 7,290 rpm and 609 Nm of torque at 5,300 rpm.

Novitec Rosso accomplished this by installing its own stainless-steel exhaust system, featuring four 90 mm angle-cut tailpipes that offer a distinct sound and a remap for the engine management system.

With the boosted power and torque, the vehicle's 0 to 100 km/h sprint time is faster by 0.3 seconds to achieve 3.9 seconds. Top speed was also increased from 315 km/h (195 mph) to 325 km/h (202 mph).

The Novitec Rosso Ferrari 612 Scaglietti features a custom-tailored tire/rim combination, using three piece NF3 alloy wheels that feature a five double spoke design and polished outer flanges. The vehicle has 19-inch front wheels while the rear ones come in a 20 inch size. The rims are covered in Pirelli high performance tires. Consumers may also opt for new taillights and an interior package to suit his or her preferences.
