Last month we reported that Dodge will rollout a Hellcat-powered version of the Charger. Well, this is it folks, the all-new 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, a car that claims to be the fastest and most powerful sedan in the world. As expected, the vehicle is powered by the supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V8 engine that delivers 707 hp and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque.
Bolted to a new TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed transmission, the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat is able to run the quarter mile in 11.0 seconds, the 0-100-0 mph in under 13 seconds, while the top speed is 204 mph or 328 km/h.
Due to its performances, the vehicle comes as standard with the largest front-brake package over offered in a vehicle produced by the Chrysler Group, featuring the all-new 390 mm (15.4-inch) Brembo two-piece rotors with six-piston calipers.
Just like the Challenger SRT Hellcat, the Charger SRT Hellcat is offered with two key fobs, red and black. The black key limits the output delivered by the engine, while the red key unleashes the full horsepower and torque potential.
The exterior of the car is also new and is inspired by the 1969 model. At the front, the sedan comes with a power-bulge aluminum hood inspired by the first Viper, fitted with dual air extractors in order to remove the head and reduce air turbulence in the engine compartment.
In addition, the front end features a new bumper with larger air intakes, an integrated front splitter as well as a new front grille wearing the SRT logo. At the rear, we find a single piece decked spoiler which is painted in body color, a new rear bumper as well as new 4-inch round exhaust tips.
The exterior design is completed by the “Slingshot” split-seven spoke 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels with standard Matte Black or optional Brass Monkey/Dark Bronze finishes.
Inside, we find a new 7-inch TFT customizable digital instrument gauge cluster and the latest generation 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen media center. Dodge offers as standard on the Charger SRT Hellcat the premium 900 watt, 18-speaker Harman Kardon audio system as well as redesigned seats features more comfortable contours.
