One of a kind Fisker Tramonto RHD to be auctioned in January

Article by Christian A., on December 22, 2011

Supercar Fisker Tramonto will be auctioned off by Lex Autolease and BCA at the Bedford centre on Jan. 10 at 10:30am. This is one of the most exclusive performance supercars in the world as it is only one of 15 units assembled. In addition, it is the only existing right hand drive model. Back then, its retail price was more than $250,000. Based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG, the Tramonto is coachbuilt by Fisker Coach Build of California.

Former Aston Martin head designer Henrik Fisker had established this company. Fisker is also known for having designed the DB9 and V8 Vantage. It was in Monaco at the Top Marques show that this car was introduced.

It features a Titanium Quartz Metallic paint with two-tone Sand interior in the finest Italian leather. It has an Aluminum finishing and it has been given some Carbon Fibre elements. Lex Autolease, the largest contract hire firm in the UK, will be selling a collection of 400 end of lease cars. A wide range of products will be offered at the auction. In fact, nearly all of the major auto producers have a vehicle in the auction.

These vehicles vary from being brand new to being five years old. There’s also a wide variety of mileages. What this means is that there would likely be a price that fits anyone’s budget. However, most of them will come with V5 and service history.

The other models that are likely to generate special interest are a Hummer, Audi Q5 and Q7, Porsche Cayenne, BMW 650 Sport, Range Rover Sport and Jaguar XKR. For the complete catalogue information, you can go to the BCA website at british-car-auctions.co.uk. Each car in this auction will be covered by the BCA Assured programme.

Fisker Tramonto brings you the thrills of open air motoring. This two-seater body is based on the Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG but is modified with the top engineering expertise. As such, the Tramonto features the wide assortment of technical innovations that you see on the SL55 AMG including the retractable hardtop to the Active Body Control, as well as the airbags, the crumple zones and other safety systems, including crumple zones and airbags. However, you also see something more here.

The Tramonto Exterior

Looking at the Tramonto, you would love the low and wide stance and the ground hugging look. The lines are smooth and unbroken. It does not matter whether the hard top is up or down, every element reminds you of speed, power and movement.

Tramonto has been re-proportioned and now has a shorter back while the hood line looks longer. It also has a more prominent dome and bumpers are not that apparent. It is sculptured, poised and balanced, but most of all exotic. No matter where you look at it, it is undoubtedly a Fisker.

If you take a casual look at the car’s muscular lines, you would notice that the gaps in between the aluminium and carbon fiber body panels are taut and uniform. Steel is also liberally used to help make the car more durable.

The new Fisker will have a new exterior styling and an improved interior design. These new models will have the Fisker Design DNA. They will also boast a distinct face as the grille design is a throwback to the aircraft designs such as the ones you see on the F/A-22 Raptor. In fact the Tramonto has an eye-catching front silhouette that looks like it belongs to a sleek jet.
