A Peugeot 208 GTi limited edition will be available in the UK for only £20,495. Only 29 examples will be built, standing for the number of years since the original 205 GTi was launched in the UK in 1984. Peugeot has also recently announced its plans for the 208 GTi for 2013. The limited edition vehicles will offer improved specification.
Throughout the world, only 54 vehicles will be sold so it could be safe to say that there will be very high demand for these units.
The cars will have their individual numbers, making them highly exclusive. They’re specified to a high standard with Satellite Navigation. It also marks the first time for Digital Radio (DAB) to be fitted on a Peugeot.
All the cars can be distinguished by a Union Jack flag on the lower grille, which highlights the importance of the GTi badge to the UK. This top of the range GTi model will be numbered from 01 to 29.
They will use exclusive satin pearlescent white paint and 17” ‘Carbon’ Onyx Black Alloys. For the full specification details and additional images of the 208 GTi Limited Edition, just go to peugeot.co.uk.
This GTi will start production in April 2013. These cars will be offered for hand-over to customers before the official launch date of the 208 GTi in late May.
Peugeot’s place in the history of motor sport has been strongly established. The design of the Marque has been influenced by the production of the advance performance GTi, whether by its promotions and marketing, its achievements in competition and its models. The idea is to make a sleek and playful sports car as an advanced version of the iconic Peugeot GTi.
Onlookers are easily captivated by the car's athletic and elegant look. Nothing can match the new 208's athletic appeal. Across the shiny black back skirt are the exhaust surfaces that come with a twin tailpipe in chrome. This modern design improves the unique identity of the model.
The quarter panel trim in bright chrome, accented with red highlights, has the GTi logo. Not minding the body color, the red highlights are prominently seen all around the car: on the grille lower bead, on brake calipers, and on Peugeot letters on the tailgate. Also, with chrome accents in the shiny black grille, it now appears like having a three-dimensional checkered mesh. The overall design is improved by small bright chrome details that wraps around the fog lamp trim, the door mirrors, and the grille upper trim.
By opening the car doors, a passenger compartment that reflects the paintwork is seen. The passenger compartment has an exemplary athletic feel with its sill containing the model's embossed name. A mixture of red, black and satin chrome completes the color theme. Up to the tiniest detail, the inside of the car is more prominent with its red GTi overstitching throughout.
