The Cayenne Diesel Platinum Editionis powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine rated at 245 hp (180 kW) and has a fuel consumption of 7.2 litres of diesel per 100 km. The Cayenne Platinum Edition is priced at €66,379, while the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition costs €67,212, including VAT.
More than ever, the newest iteration of the Cayenne cannot be denied as Porsche, thanks to its elegant blend of dynamic, efficiency, interior roominess and overall lightness as well as its sporty design.
In terms of modern efficiency, the new generation Cayenne is setting the standard, as led by the Porsche’s first production car with a hybrid drive – the Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid. In fact, the next generation of the Cayenne is up to 23 percent more fuel efficient than their respective predecessors. Of course, Porsche developed the next generation of the Cayenne according to its principle of Porsche Intelligent Performance that seek to gain more power on less fuel, greater efficiency and lower carbon dioxide emissions.
In fact, three of five Cayenne models consume less than ten liters of fuel per 100 kilometers travelled, as per the New European Driving Cycle. In addition, two Cayenne models emit less than the emission limit of 200 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer – with the Cayenne Diesel at 195 g/km and the Cayenne S Hybrid at 193 g/km.
Porsche was able to significantly cut the fuel consumption of all Porsche Cayenne models thanks to a number of solutions. For instance, the new Porsche Cayenne now makes use of the new eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission with Auto Start Stop and wider range of gear increments. Moreover, the new Cayenne features thermal management on the engine and transmission cooling circuit as well as variable overrun cut-off and recuperation of the on-board network. The new Porsche Cayenne also consumes less fuel thanks to its intelligent lightweight construction and consistent reduction of weight.
