Q by Aston Martin brings four vehicles to Pebble Beach Automotive Week

Article by Christian A., on August 8, 2014

Aston Martin returns to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with four new cars created by Q by Aston Martin. Already commissioned by Galpin Aston Martin, company dealer partner, the vehicles are based on the DB9 Volante, V12 Vantage S, Vanquish Coupe and Vanquish Volante sports cars.

The Q by Aston Martin Vanquish Coupe is maybe the most interesting vehicle, showing an Abor Orange exclusive Q paint finish with a pearl effect. In contrast with the impressive color are the carbon fiber accessories such as the front lip spoiler, side sills and rear air diffuser.

Opening the doors we will see the Obsidian Black leather interior and the printed leather in a design called ‘Hellix’. Helix is a carbon molecule and we see the new print on the headliner panel and door panels.

The Q by Aston Martin Volante shows a Frosted Silver Q exterior paint finish, graphite-finished 10-spoke alloy wheels and polished brake calipers. Moreover, the vehicle features Q badges featuring a Solid Sterling Silver Sterling Silver finish.

The interior features Chestnut Tan leather, but also equestrian saddle leather used to create a saddle accessory. In addition, the centre console is finished in Frosted Silver in order to match the exterior.

The Q by Aston Martin DB9 Volante is not our kind of car. Don’t get us wrong, we do like the vehicle as well as the Ashden Blonde exterior but the blush pearl leather and Piano Ice Mocha fascia are not some colours we like for the interior.

Meanwhile, the Q by Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is our kid of vehicle and comes with a Purple Amethysts exterior paint and with bright Monterey Pearl paint on the front grille and rear diffuser.

The Obsidian Black interior is completed by Vivid Purple leather details such as the seat stripe, headlining, steering wheel and glove box lining. Furthermore, we find carbon fiber details such as the rotary controls.

Matthew Bennett, The General Manager for Q and VIP Sales said: “The Q by Aston Martin collection of cars shown at Pebble Beach are a bold statement of the intent and capability we are developing within Q. They show how customers can be inspired to create truly unique cars and the breadth of bespoke capability at their disposal.” [source: Aston Martin]
