Article by Christian A., on May 21, 2013

Renault unveiled today a special Megane R.S., its second model that will be available in the colours of Red Bull Racing. As expected, the new special limited edition version packs advanced technology. The first visual impact with the car shows the exclusive Crepuscule Blue finish that takes inspiration directly from the race team’s colours, while Red Bull Racing graphics are found at the rear and on the sides.

Moreover, the door handles, F1 blade, door mirror housing and rear lip spoiler are finished in Platinum Grey.

A monochrome laurel is also available on the rear side windows, celebrating team’s 2012 Constructors’ world title. The interior continues the same design found at the exterior and we find Red Bull Racing branding on the numbered aluminium sill guards and carpet mats, on the head rests of the Recaro seats which are trimmed in a new leather and fabrid upholstery.

The Megane R.S. Red Bull Racing RB8 also features exclusive 19-inch black wheels with grey pin striping wrapped in high performance Bridgestone tires. This limited edition version marks the availability of the in-dash, connected R-Link multimedia tablet.

Furthermore, there is also the 2.0 version of R.S. Monitor, which fans of sporty driving will particularly appreciate. Under the hood, we find the 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 265 hp. The Megane R.S. comes with Stop&Start system that reduces the fuel consumption at 7.5 litres per 100 km and CO2 emissions at 174 g/km.
