Article by Christian A., on June 16, 2014

Earlier this month, BMW unveiled the 2015 X6 (F16), which means that the Bavarian carmaker will soon introduce the all-new X6 M. Until the debut of the new car, X-Tomi Design decided to render the upcoming 2016 BMW X6 M (F86). As expected, the rendering looks amazing and we can’t wait to see the production version of the new X6 M.

What we do know is that the vehicle will be using the 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine with M TwinPower Turbo that will deliver around 560 hp and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. Power will be delivered through the seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission, to the permanent all-wheel drive system.

The next-generation BMW X6 M is expected to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4.7 seconds, while top speed will remain limited to 250 km/h or 155 mph.

If you can’t wait until the new BMW X6 M will arrive, you can get the new 2015 BMW X6 xDrive50i, powered by a 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology that generates 450 hp (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.

This model sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, while fuel consumption is 9.7 l/100 km.

If you are a fan of diesel engines, then you should choose the current 2015 BMW X6 (F16) M50d, powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology, that develops 381 hp (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque.

This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds, while fuel consumption is just 6.6 l/100 km.

The design of the body of the new BMW X6 represents a fusion between the robustness of a BMW X model and the signature athletic elegance of the brand's coupe. The X6 is laden with a number of distinctive design elements like its long bonnet, long wheelbase and short front overhang as well as its set-back passenger cabin. The new X6 is undeniably a member of the BMW X model family, thanks to certain features like its large wheel arches, high window sill and the short distance between the front axle and the instrument panel.

Inside, the luxurious cabin of the new BMW X6 reveals a high seating position, ornately sculpted surfaces as well as the usage of high-quality materials. The luxurious interior also reveals a driver-oriented cockpit as complemented by innovative control and display elements as well as by lines flowing elegantly from the instrument panel to the door panels. In addition, the luxurious cabin of the new X6 is also defined by individual accents created by intelligent combination of colors and materials.

The agility of the new BMW X6 is well exuded by its dynamic proportions and flowing lines while the vehicle’s versatility and readiness for action are conveyed by its muscular and robust features. Up front, BMW‘s new sports activity coupe is marked by the BMW kidney grille flanked by twin circular headlights and front fog lamps, a bumper with X-shaped contour line as well as a matt-silver underbody protection.
