Ford Motorsports and Roush Performance have joined hands in assembling a limited edition 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang, which will be sold at an auction at the SAE Foundation's 25th Anniversary Celebration. Proceeds of the auction will fund SAE's education outreach programs.

The 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang, a custom silver limited edition, will be powered by a Roush 5.0L Supercharged Engine that features the Ford Racing "Aluminator" long block, providing 625 hp of output and 540 ft-lbs of torque. The 2013 Roush Stage 3 Ford Mustang also features Roush tuned suspension, custom SVT GT500 track pack wheels, a customized Roush interior and Roush custom body components.

The new model Mustang, which will be available in spring 2012, offers a more advanced design with a more eye-catching grille. A more robust splitter adds to that look. Useful heat extractors on the GT's hood were particularly placed and designed to aid extract hot air out of the engine's compartment and keep the engine cool.

Mustang Chief Designer Darrell Behmer said that they are delivering a more distinct and emotional style that upholds the Mustang's total performance. The latest design of the Mustang taps into its history while constantly moving forward to a more contemporary and powerful appearance.

The current panels along the car are now the same color as that of the body, giving a more elegant look. The back has been improved with a high-gloss black panel that integrates the taillamps. Maintaining the sequential turn signal that the Mustang is famous for, the taillamps also give a smoked look that goes well with the more functional appearance at the front.

Another new feature for the Ford Mustang's design is its high-intensity discharge or HID headlamps both available on GT and V6 models. The classic signature lighting can be seen as a tech upgrade for 2013 also, with two different LED lights significantly seen at the front headlamps and three LED ropes at the back to form the iconic three-bar rear lights.

The latest Ford Mustang provides a string of revitalized wheels, right from 17-inch wheels for the V6 up to the totally optional 19-inch wheels for the GT and V6 Performance Package. With current designs, the wheels also give new touches and finishes for a more stunning look.
