Spanish companies SEAT and MANGO have announced a collaboration agreement. The deal will initially result to a special edition of the SEAT’s practical city car – the Mii by MANGO. The Mii by MANGO will have its official debut at the 080 Barcelona Fashion event slated from January 27 to 31, 2014.

The partnership between the SEAT and MANGO is expected to lead to further activities that will make use of SEAT’s characteristic driving enjoyment via latest technology with MANGO’s innovative fashion design.

The new SEAT Mii by MANGO will feature two exterior paint options: Nude and Deep Black. The special edition will sport specific exterior side mouldings, dark grey 15-inch alloy wheels, heated electric door mirrors, and the “Mii by MANGO” lettering on the left side of the rear hatch and the B-pillar.

The interior of the SEAT Mii by MANGO features a passenger compartment laden with distinct design elements as well as more equipment compared to the base model, like the distinctive grey accents and the leather steering wheel and gear knob.

The front and rear seats of the special edition boasts of exclusive Alcantara upholstery with Nude trim and the lettering “Mii by MANGO” stitched onto the headrests. The special edition features practical hook by which occupants could use to hang a handbag; a mirror on the driver sun visor; and specifically designed floor mats, door sills and key fob.

The Mii by MANGO will be sold before the summer in three- and five-door body styles in the UK. The special edition boasts of a comprehensive list of equipment like ESC, ABS, front and side airbags for both driver and passenger, head-thorax airbags, passenger airbag deactivation, ISOFIX anchoring points with Top Tether on both rear seats and air conditioning. It also features SEAT Portable System Live, hill hold control, remote controlled central locking, a 12V socket in the centre console, and front power windows.

The new Mii is unmistakably the newest member of the Seat family, thanks to its characteristic design. For instance, the new Mii features a front end with the typical arrow visual as well as a dynamic profile defined by slender roof pillars and powerful wheel arches. Its rear end, meanwhile, is marked by a light design with its triangular lamp units.

Further defining the new Seat Mii are its perfect proportions: a width of 1.64 meters, a long wheelbase of 2.42 meters as well as short front and rear overhangs. The rear end of the new Mii is steep in nature, allowing this new car to exhibit a high level of spaciousness for a greater degree of functionality.

Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, the new Head of Seat Design, remarked that the new Mii bears the same spirit of its hometown of Barcelona. He noted that the design of the new Mii exudes modernity and strong personality, without being boisterous. Featuring the feeling of a modern yet timeless design, the new Mii comes with precisely defined details. He added that the Mii makes sporty chic and design quality become attainable for all.

On the other hand, the interior of the new Mii exudes clarity and functionality, as evident on a number of details inside the cabin. For instance, the new Mii features ergonomically designed instruments and the control elements as well as premium surfaces that could be customized by availing of the colored trim from the available equipment lines. Moreover, the new Seat Mii is provided with new seats with integrated head restraints, helping occupants sit comfortably even during long-distance trips.
