Smart fortwo by Jeremy Scott on display at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show

A new unique vehicle is on exhibit at smart’s stand at the ongoing 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The smart forjeremy is an extremely limited special edition licensed for road use, created in collaboration with internationally renowned fashion designer Jeremy Scott. Smart will commence building the smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott this month and will make it available as a coupé.

The smart forjeremy will be available with either a local emission-free electric drive, BRABUS electric drive or a BRABUS 75 kW petrol engine. The smart fortwo edition by Jeremy Scott retains the central design element of the original show car – the striking wings at its rear. The vehicle’s tridion safety cell, door mirror caps and radiator grille are all painted in alubeam.

On the other hand, its bodypanels and 16"/17" Monoblock alloy wheels are finished in polar white in the BRABUS drive variants. The mirror triangle and rear lid feature logos and letterings "by Jeremy Scott."

The smart forjeremy comes with an almost-white interior -- white seats, door centre panels, gear knob (petrol version only) and kneepad – all with white, embossed leather complete with white stitching. The diamond stitching on the seat surfaces and backs is also present on the door centre panel. Meanwhile, the top part of the vehicle’s instrument panel is covered with embossed black tailor made leather with white contrast stitching.

The 3-spoke sports steering wheel is also covered with white leather. The vehicle’s dashboard instruments provide an elegant contrast, as well as the trim to the side of the instrument panel and the gearshift trim -- all of which are finished in alubeam.

The classy look is punctuated by black velours floor mats that come with white leather trim and "Jeremy Scott" in elegant lettering. Pricing starts at 33,333 euros for the model powered by the 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, at 32,800 euros for the model powered by the 55 kW electric engine and 40,600 euros for the model powered by the 60 kW Brabus electric motor.
