Last week, Toyota teased its RND Concept a vehicle that promised to change the face of motoring. We were eager to see the new vehicle but it appears that it was just a joke from the Japanese manufacturer and RND was just the short form of Red Nose Day.
Toyota will be an official partner to the 2015 Red Nose Day and the manufacturer set itself a target of raising 1 million GBP for Comic Relief through events and activities across the UK. The money raised for Red Nose Day (Friday 13 March), including sales of vehicle red noses, will be used by Comic Relief in order to support projects that help transform the lives of people in the UK and Africa.
If you liked the idea and you want to buy a red nose for your car, van or truck, you can head over to your Toyota UK dealership or simply access Toyota’s official UK eBay store stores.ebay.co.uk/ToyotaOfficialStore. The red nose costs 5 GBP and every penny will go straight to Comic Relief’s grants programme.
Matt Harrison, President and Managing Director Toyota GB, said: “Red Nose Day achieves the remarkable feat of making people laugh while at the same time helping make a real difference for those people most in need. Toyota is proud to be a part of its inspirational work as an official partner of this year’s Red Nose Day and across the country we will be pulling out all the stops to raise as much money as we can.” [source: Toyota]
